Mobility Clinics

Are you worried that your pet is starting to slow down? The advice offered in our mobility clinics may be invaluable to ensuring you are doing everything you can to keep your pet happy.

During your appointment the nurse will assess your pet's current mobility and body condition. They will then offer advice on appropriate complimentary therapies, supplements, environmental modifications, and exercises to help your pet get around more comfortably. You will leave with a mobility pack containing useful advice to implement at home. The nurse will continue to support you during follow up appointments so you can be sure that your pet is always getting the best care.

Arthritis is a chronically painful progressive disease, with no cure, which not only affects mobility, but posture, physical capability, and behaviour. Arthritis is not just a disease of the elderly. Younger dogs are affected too, usually in relation to hereditary conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia.

Arthritis can be well managed using a balanced multi-modal approach, utilising multiple professional disciplines and skills, such as pain-relieving medication, pain clinics, and complimentary therapies such as acupuncture and physiotherapy. Our nurses will be able to discuss these with you and arrange referral where necessary.
