Calving Course

Calving Course – Thursday 5th July – 9:30am to 3:30pm.

The calving course is aimed at farmers, smallholders and farm staff who are new or feel inexperienced when calving or need a refresher with their calving technique.  We will cover the calving environment and handling facilities and equipment, examination of the cow and correction of mal-presentations, normal birth process, when to intervene, perinatal cow problems, factors influencing dystocia, essentials for the new born calf.

£85pp ex VAT includes lunch. Starting at Market and then back to our Holsworthy Branch for lunch and the practical session.
