Job Role

We are looking for a senior nurse to lead our team of nurses at our Camelford branch.


You will be required to undertake general nursing duties including inpatient care, anaesthesia and nurse clinics as well as working with the Nurse Manager to provide support and leadership to our nursing team. Working alongside the team, you will be responsible for keeping morale high and ensuring excellent client and patient care.

The position requires you to have a well-motivated and organised approach with good communication skills. You will need to be proactive in providing leadership and training to ensure good performance and efficiency in all aspects of the nursing team.  


Must be a qualified RVN on the RCVS register, with at least several years post registration experience in small animal practice. The candidate must have previous leadership and mentoring experience. 

The role requires excellent communication skills, self-motivation, a willingness to share skills and knowledge and the ability to work well within a team. You will be able to lead by example by providing excellent client service whilst demonstrating high standard of nursing care.

We have four dedicated small animal branches located in Camelford, Stratton, Holsworthy and Bradworthy, along with separate farm and equine facilities. Our main surgery is centrally based in Stratton (near Bude) providing 24 hour nursing care.

Equine Vet - North Devon / Cornwall

Friendly, supportive eight vet equine team with a balanced ‘work life’ approach seeks an enthusiastic colleague. We work to high clinical standards with good client care, whilst making time to enjoy the beautiful local beaches and moors.

Ideally you will have at least two years’ experience in equine practice, however confident new graduates will be considered.

Established pleasure, sporthorse, racing and stud client base. Ambulatory and clinic based work. High quality portable equipment including video gastroscope and endoscopes, two Cuatro Slate Hub DR units, digital ultrasound scanners and shockwave. 

Newly refurbished operating theatre and lameness diagnostic facilities. New Leonardo Dual 45 diode laser BEVA approved AI with onsite stocks, stabling and paddocks.

Responsibility for your own cases including work ups at the clinic. Working alongside experienced colleagues. Regular clinical club meetings and mentoring. Frequently visited by external specialists in all spheres.

Remuneration according to experience. Genuine flexible 1 in 8 rota. Part time / flexible working hours will be considered.

New / Graduate Farm Vet - Devon / Cornwall border

Salary from £30k depending on experience

We are a friendly, supportive team working across three branches.

We have a large dairy client base alongside plenty of beef, sheep and smallholder work to suit all interests.

The 1:5 OOH rota is shared fairly between the whole team with three vets on each night/weekend to offer plenty of support.

Our clinical team of 25 vets, VetTechs and ATTs share the TB testing and auxiliary farm work, enabling the vets more time to focus on delivering the best possible service for our fantastic clients.
