Penbode Equine, formerly known as Penhale Equine Clinic, is a modern and progressive equine only veterinary practice working throughout Devon and Cornwall and is one of the most experienced and established veterinary practices in the UK.

LOCKDOWN UPDATE – ARE WE WORKING AS NORMAL?

At Penbode we have evolved a COVID-19 protocol over the last six months to keep you, your family and our vets safe. We will carry this protocol into the lockdown period which starts today Thursday 5 November.

As recommended by the British Equine Veterinary Association we will CONTINUE TO DO ROUTINE WORK (including vaccinations and dental treatment) PROVIDED we can ensure strict Covid-19 safeguards are met.

These include:
-social distancing from other people when we are with your horse. In certain cases, this may require the horse to be sedated
- ensuring that nobody who is self-isolating is present anywhere near us or the horse
- ensuring that all personnel who are in the presence of the horse are wearing masks

Once again, we respectfully request that you let us know if anyone in your family or on your yard is self-isolating or has tested positive for Covid-19 in the last 10 days and as a reminder please could you:
- Enable the vet to enter the premises with as little touching as possible (ie open the gates if feasible)
- Observe social distancing guidelines
- Wear a facemask or face covering (and gloves)
- Have your horse passport ready for vaccination and microchip visits

MANY,  MANY THANKS
