A GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY NEW ANNUAL PREVENTATIVE HORSE HEALTH SCHEME

WHAT IS A HORSE HEALTH PLAN?
A Health Plan is a complete package of annual veterinary care at a competitive price and is a simple way to ensure the best preventative healthcare for your horse. As veterinary medicine advances, our work is becoming increasingly pro-active and less reactive, meaning that we are trying to prevent injury and illness in horses by working with you, the owner, and detecting potential problems earlier, rather than treating a disease once it has taken hold. This is especially important as horses get older and become more prone to injury and illness.

We hope that these Health Plans will give you peace of mind that many aspects of preventative healthcare for your horse have been covered in one, simple package.

HOW MUCH DOES THE HEALTH PLAN COST?
The annual cost of the Health Plan will be £70 + VAT

In the first year, this will be payable in full at the time of registering a horse for the Health Plan. In future years, we hope to be able to offer you the choice of paying by monthly Direct Debit instalments, too.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS
  1. The Health Plan will be valid for 12 months from the time of registering and will include one visit and health check during this period and the analysis of two faecal samples for worm eggs.
  2. The cost of the Health Plan is to be paid upfront, in full, at the time of registering.
  3. Any other costs incurred during the visit (e.g. sedation, feed supplements, additional services) will be charged for and paid for as per normal at the end of the month during which the visit occurs.
  4. The due date of the horse’s vaccination must be stated at the time of registering for the Health Plan.
  5. The Health Plan does not constitute a 2-Stage Vetting.
  6. The Health Plan is expected to take approximately 45 minutes.
  7. Any work and medications, other than those listed overleaf, that are performed/prescribed at the time of the Health Plan visit, or as a result of it, will be charged at normal rates.
  8. Any horse registered for a Health Plan who requires a primary course of vaccinations will have one visit and one vaccination included under the scheme. Any other vaccinations will be charged at the normal price and every effort will be made to accommodate the remaining vaccinations on the same days as any free vaccination rounds occurring in the area.
  9. The Health Plan is not transferable.
  10. Any owner wishing to register their horse(s) for a Health Plan should do so by the end of March 2009, irrespective of when the annual vaccinations are due.
