Penbode Equine appreciates the importance of ensuring the suitability of a horse for the requirements of each specific owner. Penbode Equine vets are very experienced in this process. All pre-purchase examinations follow British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) guidelines for both five stage and two stage pre-purchase examinations.

After an initial FREE telephone conversation with one of our receptionists, an experienced equine vet will return your call FREE of charge to clarify your pre-purchase requirements. A verbal report is given with an opinion at the time of the examination which is followed up with a full written report the following day.

High quality portable digital Radiography (X-ray), Ultrasonography & Endoscopy

Digital radiography (X-ray), ultrasonography and endoscopy procedures can be performed stable side.

Specialised Ophthalmology (Eye) second opinion available if required

Penbode Equine vets include a highly qualified resident veterinary ophthalmologist; if there is any doubt regarding an equine eye we can offer this second opinion at highly competitive rates.

Purpose built facilities available if required

Horses can be examined at our new, purpose built facilities if required.
