At Penbode our specialised farm animal vets will provide you with the best possible care and advice to keep your herd or flock healthy. The farm vets are based on three of our branches: Holsworthy, Stratton and Bradworthy from which they cover the surrounding area’s to attend to your cattle, sheep, goats, alpaca’s, pigs and chickens. When you want to speak to one of the vets for advice or to arrange a visit, just give us a call. Early morning and early afternoon are the best times to get hold of them.
Outside of normal working hours, we have 3 farm vets (each covering one branch area) available to help you. If you phone any of the Penbode branches out of hours, then the Kernow answering service will take your call. They will ask for your details and they will contact the on call vet. The on call vet will get in touch with you. As a team we strive to be there as soon as possible, which means that if one vet is already busy, we will make sure that another on call farm vet answers your call.
All of our branches, apart from Camelford have facilities to examine and treat small ruminants; sheep, goats and calves. These can be brought in to the practice. At each branch we also perform post mortem examinations. The buttons on this page will direct you to more detailed information about the services we provide.
